Send your idea before you arrive
The easiest way is to send your idea from home with your arrival and departure dates. The studio can review it, talk it through with you and suggest a time before you land — so your holiday is not spent waiting for an answer.
Where in your stay?
A new tattoo needs to stay out of the sea, pools, hot tubs and direct sun until it has healed. That leaves two common plans:
- Tattoo at the end. Swim and sunbathe first, then get tattooed in the last days — and let it heal at home.
- Tattoo early, then shade. Get tattooed early and enjoy the rest of the holiday in the shade, with the tattoo covered and out of the water.
The sea, the pool and the sun
Public-health guidance treats a fresh tattoo as an open wound: keep it out of the sea, pools and hot tubs until it has fully healed, and protect it from the sun with clothing and shade. Swimming after a tattoo and tattoos and the sun explain the details.
Flying home
Swelling can make a long flight uncomfortable straight after tattooing, especially for larger pieces. Tell the studio your flight date and it will take it into account — see a tattoo before your flight home.
Getting to the studio
Free hotel pickup is available for eligible guests. Add your hotel to your inquiry and the studio will confirm whether pickup is possible for your hotel and date — see hotel pickup.
Excursions and activities
Boat trips, rafting, quad safaris and long days at the beach all mean water, dust, sweat or sun. If you have excursions planned, mention them in your inquiry so the studio can suggest a tattoo day that fits around them.
Questions and answers
Can tourists get a tattoo in Side?
Yes. Send your idea and your dates through the inquiry form; when the studio contacts you, it explains everything you need for the appointment, including any ID requirements.
Can I get a tattoo on my first day?
Ask in your inquiry. The studio confirms availability personally, and will talk through whether the timing works with your swimming plans.
